A demonstration of how they would cut timber into lengths from a tree trunk using steam power.  Unfortunately the drive belt slipped off the pulleys just before I shot this photo, but eventually the team got things together again and the wood was ripped.
By the way.. the small figure that seems to be in the way of the circular blade is just a spectator in the distance.   Not a Leprechaun  they are to wise for that!!
